CONGRATULATIONS!

Congratulations On Your
Winning Season!
CONGRATULaTIONS!
You are one of the few teams worldwide that now has the great privilege and opportunity to
participate in the world’s largest creativity festival. Each year, Global Finals continues to grow
in the number of states, countries and teams that participate. Your team will demonstrate
that they have learned the creative process from imagination to innovation.
EXCITING AND IMPORTANT CHANGE FOR GLOBAL FINALS 2013
The scope of this international event has continued to expand. For this reason, Destination
Imagination has extended the competition portion of the event by a FULL DAY to include
Wednesday, May 22nd.
The Opening Ceremony will still fall on Wednesday evening, May 22nd. However, in order to
accommodate the growing number of teams that qualify for the event,
the Team Challenge
and the Instant Challenge portion of the competition will BOTH BEGIN ON WEDNESDAY,
MAY 22nd
. This means that when your team registers for Global Finals online, you could be
scheduled for either portion of the competition on Wednesday, May 22nd during the day
(8:00am-5:30pm). Thursday, Friday and Saturday will be full competition days as well. If your
team absolutely cannot present on Wednesday, May 22nd, you will have the opportunity
during online registration to note that.
Please plan accordingly and we will see you in Knoxville!

Registration Timeline
1. Affiliate Directors
certify teams.
After Affiliate Directors certify
which teams will advance to Global
Finals, you must confirm your team’s
attendance by registering through
our online registration system.
2. Team Managers accept
or decline invitation
to Global Finals.
Team Managers receive an email
which will direct them to accept or
decline their invitation to Globals
Finals.
3. Team Managers
register online and
pay a $500 deposit.
Once the Team Manager has decided
what housing packages are best for
them, they must register the team
members online and make the $500
deposit at GlobalFinals.org.
This must
be completed within two weeks
after your Affiliate tournament.
Team Managers will receive an email
confirmation of their registration. If
you do not already have a DI Account,
go to ShopDI.org to create one.
4. Team Managers can make
add-ons or changes to the
team’s registration and
complete payment.
Add-ons, cancellations and changes
can be made online until May 3,
2013, 11:59 p.m. EDT.
Accepted
