Frequently Asked Questions:
Question: What is Destination Imagination (DI) Globals? Answer: It is an International competition for all teams that placed (1st, 2nd, and 3rd (not all state competitions include 3rd)) in their state's DI competition. Global Finals or "Globals" for short, is held every year at the end of May in Knoxville, Tennessee.

More FAQ's:
1. Question: Are donations tax deductible? Answer: They are b/c we are a non-profit. All TMs should be members of the Globals Teams Yahoo group. There you can print out a receipt for the people who give you a donation for which they wish to claim a deduction. Be careful to not leave these laying around!

If a donation to your team will not be claimed on taxes, then have the donor write the check to your team. Cash the check, use for your team's DI expenses.

But if the donor wants to claim the amount of the donation on their taxes, then the check/money must be "passed thru" a bank account, so the Government has a record of the deduction. I do not yet know if such an account at our school exists (Mesa Middle). I'm trying to find out. You can "pass through" your donations requiring a tax deduction to CA DI, but they charge a 5% processing fee.

2. Question: I'd like to support a number of your DI teams. How do I know when they have fundraisers? Answer: I will link to the Google Calendar where we list all of our fund raisers (individual teams and collective)
